Depending on your symptoms, you will be given an exam using technology such as electrocardiogram (EKG), stress test, or cardiac and vascular ultrasound, among other diagnostic tests.

Interventional Cardiology involves the use of a catheter to treat and manage various forms of heart disease, such as clogged arteries. Dr. Kafri completed an additional year of medical training in interventional cardiology after his general cardiology fellowship and is board-certified in interventional cardiology. He serves as the medical director of the cardiac catheterization lab at Scripps Mercy Chula Vista Hospital.
